Risk Assessment

Below is the risk assessment which I carried out in order to identify any hazards which may occur when taking my photos to make sure everything went safely.

Hazard
Risk
Controlling Risk
Recording your Findings
Props
Unsafe and Unsuitable use of the props may but actors in danger of injury.
Make sure only the actors used the props, and that they were used in a controlled manor. And Checking the props for safety.
Checked the props used to make sure they were safe for use.
Stages
Unsafe behaviour when on staging could be dangerous as it is a raised area.
Making sure the actors conduct themselves in a safe manor and that the stage is put up correctly.
Checking staging and informing actors of the risk of height.
Trip Risks
People may be at the risk of falling over objects which are on the floor when walking around the photo-shoot area.
Making sure that the floor is clear of any misplaced objects.
Checking the floor before photo-shoot.
Use of Lighting
This can damage the eyesight of actors.
Making sure the actors do not look directly into the light. And that the people who are holding the lighting shine it away from actors.
Warning actors of the risk of lighting and telling the people who are holding the lights as well.
Carrying the Equipment from one scene to another
Could be too much for one person to carry and hence cause them to have a bad accident.
Making sure the equipment is distributed amongst a group so the equipment is carried safely.
Distribute the equipment evenly.
